Veterans Administration Reimbursement for Medical & Home Health Expenses Print

Some seniors may recognize that they may need some assistance in the home in order to maintain their safety and independence, but do not believe that they can afford it.  Others may feel isolated in their homes and would prefer to move to an assisted living facility for the socialization this setting would provide, but do not know how they will be able to pay for the facility each month.  There is a little known benefit available for Veterans and the survivors of Veterans that could help pay for the costs of home health care and assisted living facilities.  This benefit is a check in the mail to the Veteran or the widow of a Veteran.  Qualification for this benefit does not require that the Veteran have a service-connected disability.  Our firm can provide legal advice and counsel as to the eligibility criteria and application process to obtain this Veterans Administration benefit.
